Offline-first point of sale

An offline POS system that keeps selling when the internet drops

Product Paradise is a point of sale system built for stores where the connection can't be trusted. The register, stock counts, shifts and reports all keep working with no internet at all — then everything syncs to the cloud the moment you're back online.

Sell with no internet at all

The register runs entirely on the device. Scan a barcode or tap a product, take cash, print the receipt — a full sale never touches the network. When the connection comes back, every sale uploads itself in the background.

Stock that can't lose count

Instead of a single quantity number, every sale, refund, delivery and adjustment is recorded as an entry in a stock ledger. Two registers selling the same item offline both keep correct records, and the counts merge without losing anything when they sync.

Shifts and cash drawer control

Staff clock in with an opening float and clock out with a counted drawer. The app works out the expected cash from that shift's cash sales and shows the variance, so end-of-day reconciliation takes minutes.

Roles, approvals and refunds

Owners, managers and staff each see what their role allows. Staff request stock adjustments and a manager approves them; refunds are manager-only and return items to stock automatically.

Built for real store conditions

VAT is configurable at checkout, prices are recorded in US dollars with a live Liberian dollar conversion at your own exchange rate, and receipts show both currencies. New stock arrives by CSV import, and the camera doubles as a barcode scanner.

How offline mode actually works

  1. Everything saves locally first. Sales, stock movements, shift clocks and adjustment requests are written to a database on the device, so a dropped connection never loses a transaction.
  2. A queue waits for the network. Each change is added to an outbox with its own unique key, so re-sending after a flaky connection can never create duplicates.
  3. Sync runs by itself. When the device is online, changes upload and new data from other registers downloads every 30 seconds — no buttons to press.
  4. The status pill tells the truth. The header always shows whether you're synced, how many records are queued, or that you're offline.

Common questions

Should a retail POS system work offline when the internet is down?

Yes. If your store's internet is unreliable, an offline POS is the difference between a normal day and a stopped till. Product Paradise treats offline as the normal case: every sale, stock change and shift is saved on the device first and synced later.

What happens to my sales while I'm offline?

They're stored safely on the device in a queue. A sync indicator shows how many records are waiting, and they upload automatically — in order — as soon as a connection is available.

Can several registers sell the same product offline at once?

Yes. Because stock is tracked as a ledger of movements rather than one shared number, each register records its own sales and the ledger merges them when everyone is back online.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with a mobile layout for the register and camera-based barcode scanning built in.

Ready to sell, online or off?
